Hey’tu’nani [hello]

Aloha kākou [hi everyone]

Greetings, from Redbud Resource Group,
“Improving public health outcomes for Native American communities through education, research, and community partnerships”
Native erasure takes a severe toll on the physical, mental, and spiritual health of Native communities. Redbud Resource Group works to uplift positive stories of Native people, facilitate collaboration across cultures, and provide high quality learning resources for tribes, teachers, nonprofits, government agencies, and more.

Your support has helped effect powerful and positive change!
  • Our Going Beyond Land Acknowledgements video series has empowered tribes to tell their stories and guide conversations around #LandBack, data sovereignty, environmental advocacy, and education.
  • Our workshop and consultation programs have collaborated with [number] organizations, across sectors, inspiring them to add Native leadership to their boards, invest in Native communities, return land, and support Native sovereignty.
  • Our K-12 resources and professional development for teachers have helped to frame Native studies through a Native lens, reaching 27,000 students, nationwide.
support our great work with a tax deductible donation now!
This is just the beginning! We have BIG PLANS for the next year:
  • Pilot an all Native Going Beyond Land Acknowledgements program to help tribal governments build capacity, strategic plan, and build partnerships.
  • Debut our grades 8-12 California Genocide and Ecocide curriculum, with matching teacher professional development.
  • Launch new film collaborations featuring California tribes as they advocate for their land, communities, and cultures.

The Founders Taylor Pennewell and Madison Esposito experienced pervasive erasure of Native American communities in their work in the education, public health, and non profit sectors. This erasure is linked to poor public health outcomes, weakened ecosystems, and reduced life expectancies for Indigenous communities. They knew that only Native people could create the proper interventions to support the Native community. So, they created Redbud Resource Group.

The team at Redbud Resource Group in one way or another has experienced pervasive erasure of Native American communities in their work in the education, public health, and non profit setors. This erasure is linked to poor public health outcomes, weakened ecosystems, and reduced life expectancies for Indigenous communities.
